Spinning from the mid-noughties in various clubs and festivals in and around Durban, Eighty6 has featured numerous times on different radio stations across the country. His love for music as well as his ability to merge traditional turntable techniques with modern day DJ tools proves to be a deadly combination, as this helps him push the limits to create the perfect set. His musical expertise ranges across the genre spectrum, catering for a variety of different audiences and platforms.
Being inspired by the International DJ Competition known as “DMC” (an annual DJ Competition hosted by Disco Mix Club which began in 1985), Eighty6 has been intrigued by the versatility and creativity of the participants of the competition, motivating him to long,sleepless rewarding nights of practice in his studio.
