Nisal is a Sri Lankan sound artist and electronic musician based in Singapore. Trained in both Eastern and Western classical music, their practice sits between experimental radio, club music, and sound culture research. Their work draws from overlooked South Asian sonic environments, informal music practices, and everyday listening spaces, treating rhythm, repetition, and noise as narrative tools. Working across fixed compositions, performance, and broadcast, they are interested in how memory, movement, and infrastructure shape sound. Recent projects focus on translating local sound cultures into radio-first works that resist conventional genre boundaries.
