Ibiza, Spain
Born in Buenos Aires (Arg) in 1981, Nicolas Enrique Faletty, aka Y.E.S, got in touch with music at the age of 14 when he found an old guitar in his best friend’s house. One year later he was deep into guitar lessons that took him straight into the Conservatory of Classical Music of Buenos Aires (Astor Piazzolla). As soon as he finished High School, he started studying Cinema, got into Sound Design, using computers to create film tracks and sound-scapes. He then discoverd John Cage and concrete music. In 2006, during one of his trips to Europe, he ended up in Ibiza, and his point of view on musical creation changed. He started having great pleasure for specific types of electronic music, the way it mixed everything and nothing at the same time. Producers and Dj´s like R. Villalobos, Nathan Fake, James Holden, Richie Hawtin, Mathew Jonson were a big influence on his begging. After summer of 2006, he went back to Bs As, graduated from University and back to ibiza.
