Autumn makes its presence known in this broadcast, whether directly or as a miasmic undertow. Included are a handful of short interjections co-arranged by everyone’s favourite Nazi orchestrator (from Jonny Trunk’s recent ‘Music for Children’ collection), a song from Mark Fry’s first album since 1972, a spectral-rhythmic collage featuring samples from the only surviving recording of Virginia Woolf, and to take edge off this chill we’re having, a closing blast of warmth from Petra Haden and Bill Frisell.
