KINNY got into the techno/house music scene at the young age of 17. Locally influenced by Shane Williams aka 'dj big dirty' & Chad Stegall 'the noid' of UDOPIA recordings & EKVILIBRIUM recordings (a Des Moines iowa based label). Immediately fell in love with electronic music and turntablism. Going to parties every weekend in iowa city/cedar rapids iowa, usually thrown by Amnesty'ACG3'/'THE GOAT'Coleman and/or Matt Rissi; owner/operator of SOLAR CATHEDRAL RECORDINGS, who has also been a MAJOR influence. By 19 i had my own set of decks and the rest was history. The last 5 years ive held a series of parties in Burlington iowa @ the washington; a live music venue.. I have also played out in St. Louis Mo, Kansas City MO,,, burlington, iowa city, cedar rapids, des moines- all in IOWA>also held a residency at a latenight club in gulfport illinios Sam's Speakeasy Saloon.
