Network Disabled

Melbourne, Australia

Why are we (unfortunately) so used to seeing the 'D' word describe a wifi network, but so uncomfortable when we see it describe a person? No one ever celebrates their wifi being disabled, but plenty of people are proud to be disabled. But, disabled by what exactly? Their bodies, their minds, their world, their society? Where does that disability actually lie? Where is it a problem, where can it be lived with and where can it actually be enjoyed? What needs to happen for it to be enjoyed everywhere? Tune in to Radio Fodder on Tuesdays at 10am to hear us answer some of these questions. Network Disabled is produced by the University of Melbourne Student Union Disabilities Department, and hosted by your Office Bearers, Christian and Jess, with a different guest on each week. We’re on a mission to see disability embraced in all spheres of life, because it certainly can be.
