Dubbed Seattle’s youngest Black female deejay, DJ NC has been a part of the Seattle Reggae and Afrobeats scene for two years and playing for three, headlining the first reggae dancehall at Bellevue College in collaboration with the African Student Association and Black Student Union. Following shortly after, making waves at the University of Washington 2 years consecutively as the selectress for Black Student Union events.
Specializing in primarily in reggae music and its subgenres as well as afrobeats, she’s also well versed in funk, rap, hip hop, techno, gospel, and rap, and puts an untraditional flavor on her mixes that distinguishes from that of other selectors. NC has also played locally at clubs such as Red Lounge, the Baltic Room, Contour, Agelgil, Dahlak, Stone Lounge, Champions, Rafiki Lounge, Rumba Notes, and Souvanny.
