Naut was introduced to the psytrance scene in Ottawa and MTL in 2012, and within a year was introducing the Ottawa scene to the sounds of Dark prog and Zenonesque. A few years later at Space Gathering, Naut and Musiknote founder SonRai went on a fabulous and magical journey where they plotted the creation of Ottawa’s Dark Psychedelic Trance scene. Using the momentum that Musiknote had already established they collectively shifted focus to bring the new ominous, treacherous, and wicked sounds of Zenonesque, Darkprog Psygressive, Forest, Darkpsy, Hitech, and Psycore to the Ottawa scene through their wild all night Musiknote parties. Naut is known for memorable, tight performances of Darkprog, Psygressive, Forest/Dark, and most recently coming back full circle to spinning tight, minimal drum and bass.
