National Prison Radio is the world's first national radio station for people in prison. It was developed and run by the Prison Radio Association, a charity that supports people behind bars across England and Wales in order to reduce reoffending.
Most of our programmes are talk formats and cover serious and important issues. But music is another crucial part of the station's output. It helps keep morale high. For many of our listeners, music is a way to remain connected to family and friends. These relationships are crucial for successful rehabilitation.
