As a DJ and traveling sound artist, Montenegro has been on an exploration of true earth spirituality, being a staple in the Latin-American transformational festival circuit. As a sound artist and engineer, her passion is discovering, registering and then creating using the sounds of nature she has found through her travels. Tamara approaches dance music from a place of Spirituality, forming a ceremony around her sound where people are able to dance into unity and higher states of mind as a true testament of the works of the Spirit through music.
As a restless nomad and journeyer her work is sprinkled with multicultural elements, weaving in a plethora of sounds in to build sets that tell fabulous stories and are known to roar the crowds into an often cathartic and ceremonial trance. Tamara understands the power of music to bring about social development, healing, action and change and sees DJing as an act of urban shamanism.
