Nabil Ayers

Nabil Ayers is the president of the Beggars Group of record labels, and host of Identified, a podcast exploring family dynamics, with guests including Michelle Zauner, John Legend, and Tom Morello. He is the author of the memoir My Life in the Sunshine (Viking, 2022), which Kirkus Reviews called, “A searchingly eloquent memoir of music and family.” Ayers has contributed writing on music, race, and family to The New York Times, The Guardian, Rolling Stone, and GQ. He is a former record store owner and recovering rock drummer in Brooklyn.
