His active involvement in club / DJ culture began co-promoting Super Cosmic Joy (1987), a Sheffield-based indie / psychedelic rock night which rostered and featured bands such as Specemen 3, Pulp and My Bloody Valentine etc etc. As DJ he spent most of the 90's crossing over indie, techno and art club scenes; Jah Poetry at Sound Shaft (1994), All Hail Discordia at Trends (where he also organised aftershows for Primal Scream), and later Club Kosmische (2000-2003).
