Music is in my DnA. My Father plays piano, my uncle plays the sax, and my cousin is a DJ. I tried other musical expressions but after I touched a turntable, many moons ago, I was hooked and I've DJ'ed ever since. I hung out at the local record shop till I became an employee and spent every penny on records. I could've worked a 12 or 14 hour day and yet if inspiration struck I would work on a mix... for hours. The most important thing for an artist, I feel, is to be so passionate about something you can't imagine yourself ever not doing it.
