My name is Dr A.L James and I am the founder of Mumma's Marvellous Medicine for Hair. My background is in medicine, but my passion is promoting beautiful afro hair and curls from all backgrounds.

Ten years ago I cut my hair off after I noticed the dam stuff was breaking and falling out following a little hair abuse with the relaxers. I cut it down to about 1 inch, dyed it purple and the rest is history. Ten years later my hair is now down to my shoulders when pulled out straight, but its only really in the last two years that i've really started to be proud of it, rocking it out and loving my afro hair.
