I play viola, violin, electric viola/violin, and am the executive director and principal violist of the New Millennium Orchestra, an ensemble I co-founded in 2005. Way back in the '90s I studied viola with Csaba Erdelyi at Rice University, and toured extensively playing viola for an indie rock band, (the) rachel’s. Since then, I have performed with artists as diverse as Brian Wilson, Arcos Orchestra, Belle and Sebastian, Xoe Wise, Reggie Watts, Matt Ulery, the Miami Symphony, and Ray Lamontagne. I have also led NMO ensembles in performances with members of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Dj Spooky, International Contemporary Ensemble, Michael Kang from String Cheese Incident, eighth blackbird, and rapper Lupe Fiasco. As Dojo, I've DJed and played electric viola for the last 7 years, sharing stages with the likes of Tipper, the Glitch Mob, Ott, Shpongle, Ana Sia, Searchl1te, Vibesquad, and R/D.
