I love creating mixes for my own pleasure and also for friends and family and have been asked on many occasions to create mixes and playlists for events.
My musical tastes cover most genres and eras, from the 1940s to date and I incorporate these in many of my mixes.
In addition to this I enjoy specific genre mixes or specific artists.
Something which I feel is fairly unique is that I sometimes mix TV adverts and Radio jingles as a reminder of a particular time. These are from the UK but many may be known globally.
I have chosen Mixcloud as a platform, as they take care of the copyright for the tunes selected, which leaves me free to concentrate on creating mixes.
If I was to think about my musical preferences my favourite era is the 1970s because of the diverse range of music on offer. Chill out, Soul, Motown, Philly, Northern Soul were genres I listened to growing up, but I have developed a liking for all types of music, and my mixes will hopefully reflect this. ENJOY.
