Monsta K (Jorge Marin aka Koke) is a Tijuana/San Diego-based house producer and multi-instrumentalist crafting a genre-blurring sound for the dance floor. He fuses fat sub-bass and funky basslines with live guitar, Moog synths, and jazzy improvisations—bridging electronic precision with the soul of live musicianship.
Raised on ’80s West Coast hip-hop and ’90s Rock en Español, Monsta K built his foundation as a bassist and guitarist before moving to Bordeaux in 1997. Immersed in the French Touch era at legendary Parisian clubs like Rex Club and Le Queen, he brought that house energy back to Tijuana in 2000. Launching his DJ career with a Roland MC-303 and turntables, he went on to share stages with artists like Lee Burridge, Mark Farina, M.A.N.D.Y., Audiojack, and Matthew Dear.
Today, Monsta K channels decades of performance and production into Ableton Live—delivering a driving, deeply musical blend of French house groove, organic funk, and raw live energy.
