Brought up in the forests of Tasmania, Owen Braddock grew up in a house that had a HiFi system in the place of TV which turned all his attention towards music, sound and how all of those frequencies interacted with the world around him.
Early in 2014, Deep in the NZ Alps a friend introduced the now dance music obsessed Owen to a set of Pioneer cdjs, and Monkey Paws was born. That April he moved to Melbourne where he met the Groovement Productions crew who gave him his first gig that July. In 2015 he formed The Rebel Collective with good friend & local producer 'Skwid'. Playing sets at parties hosted by crews such as Yemaya Festival, Beyond Surreal, The BFG Sound-System, Contact High, Rebel Collective, Edge Bookings, Ergot Radio, Counter Culture, Intergalactic, Groovement Productions, Sand Tribe & Versus within Victoria, and overseas at festivals such as Infinite One NYE, Discombobulation, Twisted Frequency & Ponies in New Zealand.
