Dubbed "Calgary’s first lady of Breaks", founder of the Girls on Deck DJ Collective (Est. 2003) Molly, AKA Krista Thibodeau, has spent the better part of two decades breaking down the walls for fellow female/non-binary DJs and performers. Incorporating FeMC’s, vocalists, B-girls, rappers and even Burlesque dancers, Girls on Decks has become an important and influential movement in Western Canada, giving hundreds of women their start in the music business. She currently works as a mentor and educator for the Children’s Legacy Foundation, teaching marginalized youth about djing, music business and event organization.
As a main-stay in the Alberta Electronic Music community, Molly has been invited to share the stage with the likes of Fort Knox Five, The Funk Hunters, A.Skillz, The Freestylers, Baby Anne, Ikonica, Malente, Tribe Called Red, Smalltown, DJs, Freqnasty, Deekline, Annalyze, B.Traits, Ursula 1000, Myagi, Bassnectar, Featurecast, Neon Steve, Humans, and was nominated for Calgar
