Groovjunki started mixing house music in the era of the Hot Mix 5, Ron Hardy, Farley Jackmaster Funk, Steve Hurley,and many more. Chicago local dance music record shops such as Importes, State Street Records, Loop Records, Gramaphone Records and the popular Hot Mix 5 shows on radio station WBMX-FM helped popularize house music and got me interested in spinning records. The rest is a story in itself.
