Ricardo “Rick” Bryan got his first taste of music in primary school singing on the school choir, learning how to play drums and performing at school concerts. After a long while of not doing music throughout his college years or high school years, music art was always a contented activity of his. Growing up with both parents his dad had a collection of records and cassettes that he would play from time to time especially on Sundays from Jamaican folk songs, Festival songs, Ska and Rock Steady. As a child he would take out the records and place them on the turn tables just to watch them spin around the look and feel of vinyl records was enticing to him even though his dad would punish him for scratching his records. In the late 1990’s after being exposed to Jamaican Dancehall and Reggae by his big brother who gave him his first “Boom Box Cassette player” he never forgot the sound of drum and bass coming from those speakers.
