History scholar of gender, sexuality, and radical social movements. My research focuses on feminist and queer challenges to heteronormative structures in twentieth-century America, specifically the lesbian separatist movement of the Pacific Northwest. I examine women’s land communities as intentional political societies that reimagined kinship, labor, land, and belonging beyond patriarchy and racial capitalism.
