With family roots in Chicago, Michel.Be was born and raised in South Minneapolis. Radical healing and revolutionary practice lies at the core of their artistry. Michel.Be is driven to evoke spiritual power through music while creating positive dance spaces and artistic opportunities for Womyn, Transgender, Gender Non-conforming, Indigenous, and Queer People of Color.

Performing locally and internationally for community events, dance clubs, private parties, weddings, and political fundraisers supporting social justice oriented officials of color. Michel has collaborated with organizations such as Intermedia Arts, MN Orchestra Hall, In The Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theatre, Twin Cities Pride, Northern Spark, First Avenue, and Rhymesayers. Michel.Be also hosts "Grooveline", a musical radio show traveling through the history and influence of Chicago House Music, every Friday from 9-11p.m on 98.9FM KRSM Radio.
