Well... a punk as a teenager. An anarcho/environmentalist type in my early twenties - I'm now a much more rounded (+ 'round' perhaps) character with admiration and fear of both positions. I never liked Dave Foreman, had qualms about Peter Singer and think Murray Bookchin got it right. When I studied I sat economics and philosophy (double honours - what a balls that was! But double firsts too - not bad eh? It comes at a cost) and then postgraduate philosophy afterwards. When working I tutor ethics and the history of philosophy. My own work (when I can get it) is in the interface of emotions, representational theory of mind and language. I'm more comfortable amongst linguists, psychologists and biologists, rarely philosophers. Sorry guys! In economics I'm more interested in transitionary structures than 'if only it was this way' work. I like astronomy and cosmology, music (from classical to electronica and dub).... a little punk and politics - bien súr is prob! :)
