Chart positions

This show was 2nd in the global detroit techno chart, 12th in the global progressive house deep house tech house chart and 38th in the global deep tech house chart.

In the beginning, there was Jack, and Jack had a groove.
And from this groove came the groove of all grooves.
And while one day viciously throwing down on his box, Jack boldy declared,
"Let there be HOUSE!"
and house music was born.

As an old man I'm amazed at how global and so readily accessible music House music has become. DJ'ing in the early 90's you were met with record shop assistants who were as snobbish as wine waiters in a Michelin starred restaurant, building a set of tunes was hard work and luck. Quite the opposite of today!

This mix is a bit more energetic and its a bit of a nod back to Rave days with a few classic flavours - Vicious Circle is L'il Louis' French Kiss without the female orgasm in the middle! Detroit kicks things off with UR's DJ 3000 and then brings the curtain down with Floorplan's soon to become legendary 'Never Grow Old', which is very fitting considering! ^_^

Hope you enjoy it and feel encouraged to leave a comment, cheers!

Cheers mate! positive words like this justify the silly amount of time I spend listening and playing around with music - my wife is going nuts, I start in the morning and keep going into the night most days... ^_^

Very powerful mix! Speakers at the limit, the neighbors in shock)) This mix like a time machine took me to the originators of house music and got to experience a strong nostalgic impulse. Thank you Michael for a job well done.

Thank you Rust! I'm really glad you decided to share it with your neighbours! ^_^
I think what I love about House music is that there is a finite - ограниченный - amount of melodies, keys & harmonies. The past will always return and get a remix! I have more than 20 mixes of Inner Cities 'Good Life'.... ^_^

Susan Serpent

LOVE the "Lowrider" remix track in there around the 44:40 minute mark! Whole set is awesome! :-)

Cheers Susan! I reckon it was kind of brave to strip out the famous horn riff from the original War track. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I was worried it might wake you up out of your poolside sun lounger Djerome ;-)
Thanks for listening and for the encouragement mush! (I reckon the Dutch translation of mush is gabber, not a genre that I'll be uploading anytime soon! ^_^)

SKYMAN1882

Boom ! Loved it agree with your sentiment entirely , one of the positives of the net has been to expand the horizons of discovery and hear the world, if you don't focus too much on your day job the world is your oyster lol , top set Michael always great to hear your sounds :))

We are on the same page Skyman, I've been collecting a crate of global House tunes, Ive added Colombia's Juan Ddd this week, I reckon the only thing stopping the pan continental mix is the time its going to take in Photoshop to make the cover art! ^_^ Thanks for your continued support mate!
