German DJ and house music producer MICAR delivered one of the standout summer hits of 2017 with “Burden Down.” The track became a major success, selling more than 200,000 copies and earning him his first Gold Award.
In 2015, MICAR signed with Kontor Records and released “This Time It’s My Life” featuring Nico Santos. The track cleverly incorporated elements of “Bittersweet Symphony,” whose iconic orchestral motif is based on a composition originally written by The Rolling Stones.
This was followed by further successful releases such as “Brothers in Arms (feat. Nico Santos)” and “Sleep Alone.” With a growing fan base, MICAR played club and festival shows across Europe and joined Scooter on their sold-out tour as support DJ.
At the end of 2017, MICAR signed with the major label Warner Music Germany and closed the year with a spectacular New Year’s Eve performance in Berlin, playing in front of 750,000 people at the Brandenburg Gate.
