Mic Familiar is a Hip Hop producer/MC straight out of The Garden State. His music can best be described as: cerebral lyrics set to an ambient backdrop accompanied with head-nodic rhythms. Using his immediate surroundings he tackles issues like existentialism, addiction, race, personal development, and other topics that span beyond what one typically expects from a hip hop artist.

"Talking about myself as an artist is always an awkward conversation. Unlike most artists today I didn't have the typical hip hop/musician story that most have. The music found me way before I started seeking it. My first hip hop records I can remember playing/reciting were "Mona Lisa" by Slick Rick and Naughty By Nature's hit single "Hip Hop Hooray". My first introduction to writing a rhyme was in a creative writing class. Discovering my voice was the best thing to happen to me. "
