DJ MIXA is one of the first Guatemalan women to approach to world of live mixing, working with turntables and experimenting with rhythms like Trip Hop, Trance, Latin Bass, House,Nu Cumbia, Afro beats, Rock, etc. With almost 20 years of experience performing, she has done shows all around the country, as well as international festivals. DJ Mixa’s sound is always refreshing, and without a doubt makes it impossible to keep still. Her mixes will make you dance! Her influences go back to her grandmother’s organ playing, and to her being the descendent of the famous orchestra director, German Alcántar. Alongside her talent on the turntables, she also enjoys Poi dancing, captivating her spectators during performances at electronic dance festivals. DJ Mixa is definitely a pioneer in the world of mixing in Guatemala.
