I came of age in New York City the 1970s, and my musical passions live most strongly in that era. As a New Yorker, my radio stations were WBLS, WLIB (AM) and WWRL (AM). 12B radio (WLIB) was, if I remember correctly, the first AM station I ever heard in stereo. But then again, maybe that was the drugs.
My musical tastes are somewhat limited; old school funk, soul, disco, classic rock, old school reggae, blues, some world music. So that is what you will get. Hate funky music or music from the 1970s? Get the fuck outta here and go fawn over Taylor Swift and R Kelly. If Kanye West is your idea of funky, soulful music... I feel for you.
Now I share this music (and maybe more) from off-the-grid, outta site, outta mind; the high, high desert of the southwestern US.
