Over the past few weeks, I've been touching Coil's Live Archive again. Listening to and watching the live performances always opens a new perspective on the work of any band, unfortunately I didn't attend one of Coil's gigs back then.
On https://www.youtube.com/@livecoilarchive1458 you will find lots of live footage from their approx. 50 live gigs, some of them have officially been released on the Colour Sound Oblivion DVD set. Absolutely fantastic!
For the sets I focussed on the official audio recordings. Although an audio set cannot replace a live gig or a video recording of it, I hope that the 'live feeling' comes across as well as possible.

@meistsonnig here I was talking about "I Don't Want to Be the One" specifically, anyway of course I did the whole ride and I loved it. So I discovered that there were some connections between Coil and Italy and this is nice - the record Selvaggina, Go Back into the Woods! -(And by the way, I've always wondered what 'The Ape of Naples' means!)
@attilaela yes, i noticed the Italy connection, too. They did a lot of gigs there, as opposed to Germany where they did the Atonal in 1983 and then only 2 more gigs afaik.
Concerning the Ape of Naples, somewhere i read that it was the wirkung title of a (gay) porn flic Massimo Villani wanted to craft. Something like that, i need to find the source of it again, but i guess it is mentioned in the Live Coil Archive sites, since this is what i studied intensely in the last weeks
