amazing from start to finish. btw you picked one of my fav track by Nina Simone and Ioved very much Zeresh and the dones (do the singer have some gordon gano influence?) and this closing is absolutely brilliant.
Thanks bro🙏 Indeed a wonderful track bei Nina Simone. In past sets I had used several tracks of the dones' album
https://thedones.bandcamp.com/album/an-american-scream highly recommenable! Unfortunately we cannot ask Ryan about the influence of Gordon Gano because sadly he passed away too early some years ago. We had been in a private communication and he also had sent to me some other tracks of the dones, amongst them a killer cover version of Nick Cave's Red Right Hand, but due to a recent disk crash i lost them😐
Thanks for thr feedback, glad you also enjoyed this downtempo mix of mine <3
Had to look up who is Gordon Gano... uh, the Violent Femme singer... and yep, their voices are quite similiar. Musical wise, i don't know VF well enough(except the 1st akbum) to judge.
@meistsonnig ah, what a loss! I'm listening to the album right now and loving it!
Amazing journey into lost dreams, enjoyed it from start to finish! 🫶
Thanks Lozy, glad that you followed my on this trip, which is a bit at the margin of my usual sets <3
@meistsonnig It's my pleasure!
Oh, Ninna Simone, love this song! ❤️
ops, Nina Simone 😁🙏
Awesome session, thank you for sharing. Loved it 🙌🧡🙌
Thanks for your kind feedback, I'm glad you enjoyed this show🙏
A superb downer of a show, ms!
But in the end, we love.
Excellent to be exposed to some of Attila's source material!
"My maaaaaaan's gone now!" used in "La Mala" by @attilaela
(which I don't find on bandcamp anymore, why for?)
...But damn, the source is so good! Now I know!
Great work here!
Don't give up on dreams hope!
Cheers!
.
Thanks LHM, glad you liked this one. Yep, damn good source material our friend attila uses, and he appreciates it and the output is great and full of respect <3
@meistsonnig .
Don't give up on dreams *of* hope!
(stupid typo of omission)
.
...And somehow I failed to hit the like button! 🤪
Apologies.
.
Beautifil opening! 😍
I love most of what Carol Anne McGowan does, or did! Some albums are on bandcamp also
@meistsonnig Thanks for the tip, I'll look for it.
A relatively mild mix, contemplative, yet true to yourself. Wonderful. Red wine and candlelight 🍷
... or sundowner at the beach🌅. Thanks DM
Beautiful 🧡
