Mo Wax was a UK based record label owned by James Lavelle, who founded it in the early 90's (when he was 18 !) with Tim Goldsworthy. The label came to recognition for being at the forefront of trip-hop, turntablism and alternative rap during the mid-90's. Mo Wax is also responsible for bringing attention to the graffiti artist Futura 2000 by using his artwork on many of its releases in the early to mid-90's. The original Mo Wax logo as used on the early releases was designed by UK graphic artist Swifty, but the label grew their reputation by featuring artwork contributions from Futura 2000, Robert Del Naja (from Massive Attack) and Req 1.
I've always been a big fan of this label and I hope you will like this selection of my favourite Mo Wax tunes........thank you for listening !

Paper covers + art - says it all - big up Lavelle
Best label to date - Krush setting the tone... others follow(ed)
Love this idea for a Mo’ Wax mix, fantastic. Their stuff was even more indie in the states in the mid 90s. The Headz comps were important and was the first time many of us got to hear “trip-hop”. Amazing some of this is well over 20 years old. Still sounds fresh!
Yea, it's so cool!!!
What about a Jazzcat Pussyfoot special?
I grow up with this label! Very cool mix. I'm not able to find anywhere "the fith column - minatone". This track appeared on "Pussy Galore", a compilation by Pussyfoot Records. Can you help me to find it? Thanks. Music saves us all.
Ciao Attila ! Io ho quella compilation in cd......hai bisogno di quella traccia ?
Woooow, I am so happy to found this treasure in your vault!!!! Thanks for this mate :)
Great mix, which made me quiet sentimental. I was a kid in the 90s and when this shit arrived, it completely blew my mind. As an indie kid, this was something new, fresh, strange and very cool indeed.
i like it!
