Max Gandalf, based in Rome, begins his non-conventional trip in electronic music in 2001 as a party-maker giving birth to the eXpander project of which he becomes one of its musical references.
As a DJ and organizer he participates in hundreds of events at clubs, ‘centri sociali’ (self-run occupied spaces which organize parties, exhibitions, workshops etc) and open-air parties in Italy and abroad.
Out of the variety of parties created, other than the unbreakable “eXpander” which has reached its 15th year, there also are the “Pink Freud” ones, the “ESCamotage” ones, and, naturally, the magical “Natural Born Chiller” ones at Lake Martignano
His happily eclectic sounds offer DJ sets which vary from deep progressive house to the more psychedelic trance always creating a melting beat capable of unmistakingly sweeping all types of dance-floors! at the moment he is resident @SHANTI , famous psy party in ROMe and he plays every edition in great electronic festival named WAO
