Having learned to DJ in Tokyo’s underground while curating the music program of MUTEK Japan from 2016-2023, Maurice brings elegance and groove to his sets. His selections blend old school house with dub-infused techno and deep house, with the occasional electro and acid cuts. Back in 2013, he spent 2 years as part of the audiovisual live duo LUMA, with Luis Ramirez. Maurice also hosted his own party series called “M&M” at Bar 53263. His DJ performances include renowned Tokyo establishments such as WOMB, Air, Sankey's, UNIT/Saloon, Circus, and Mitsuki. Having recently moved to Montreal to pursue a PhD at Concordia University, Maurice continues to cultivate links with the Japanese scene through his quarterly residency Moto on n10.as radio, showcasing the more downtempo and ambient sides of his musical taste.
