As a “Post Punk/New Waver” early 1980s dance club life started early in the 16 and over clubs. It was a natural progression to move into “Raving” (circa 1989) almost every type of music was imcorporated into electronic dance music. I believe that every electronic dance music genre had something good to contribute which inturn influenced most if not every other type of dance music. It was interresting to hear the evolution which blurd the borders of each genre with all the crossovers and irritated the purists. But this is just a fact of life. The latest “EDM” version is not my favorite but It still embodies most of the spirit of the original scene which i hope continues.
