Matt E Love is rooted in the ‘90s underground rave scene, shaped by pioneers like Doc Martin, Derrick Carter, and Sasha. Before age 20, he was headlining underground parties, festivals, and top club nights across the U.S.
At 21, he opened Bassline Records outside Boston, a shop known for domestic and imported dance music, rare test pressings, and white labels. Soon after, he launched The Bassline Lab, where he produced bassline-heavy house and techno, releasing tracks like The Frog King, Never Gonna Stop, and Future Mode on labels including Element Recording, Syncopate Records, and Monophonic.
His releases led to an international DJ career, opening for Carl Cox, Paul Van Dyk, John Digweed, and Danny Tenaglia. After founding Red Fish Media in 2004 and selling it in 2017, Matt returned to music. Since 2024, he has played across Europe, the Caribbean, and major U.S. cities. Now, he’s back in the studio working on a new EP.
