San Jose
Mario was born into a life surrounded by music. Raised in the San Francisco bay area, he began his music studies at age 4 on brass instruments; primarily, but not limited to, the trumpet. He would spend long afternoons locked away in the school band room, rummaging through the vast collection of instruments searching for inspiration. His only constant partner in his search was the band programs trusty Roland Tr-909. As he grew older, his focus slowly began turning towards the low end. The baritone was his first introduction to that slow and deep vibration you feel when the bass hits you. At age 12, Mario pulled a long case from the back of the band room and revealed his next muse. The bass guitar. From there, came rock and roll and as a result, touring. While lighting up the stage playing rock and roll, Electronic Dance Music was what he listened to on his time off. The Sf rave scene was hitting its stride, and Mario wanted in. He ditched the band and started spinning records.
