Martha Alicia Lopez Hernández
Martha Alicia was born June 12, 1983 in Brownsville, Texas. Known for her originality,
tenacity and humility, Martha Alicia gives all she’s got every day to Univision Radio.
She’s a cheerful and energetic young woman with a love for what she does as an on-air
personality.
Even though she was born in Brownsville, Martha (“Martita” as everyone calls her) was
raised in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, México, Brownsville’s sister city.
She got the bug for the entertainment business watching her grandfather develop. Her
grandfather, José Hernández “El Ribereño”, is a well-known singer, in the “norteño”
genre.
She attended school from primary to high school in Matamoros, where she practiced her
skills in electronic media. She was 16 years old, when she first got the opportunity to
work in radio at the local station WF 97.7, where she participated on a program called
“Central 9.” She absolutely loved it and learned a lot.
