**Born and raised in Bremerton, WA
**Left at age 19 to join the Army
**Stationed in Schweinfurt, Germany from 1983 to 1985
**Attended two Octoberfests.....acquired a taste for Dopplebock Beer and Bavarian brass bands:-)
**Stationed at Fort Lewis, WA from 1985 to 1987
**Attended Hyles-Anderson College from 1987 to 1993 and although I never graduated it did expose me to inner-city life in Chicago and I was fortunate to have been able to work with families in the Humboldt Park area
**Spent 1993-1995 in NW Indiana area and was befriended by quite possibly the most loyal friend I've ever seen. Funny how that happens when things look bleak.
**Moved to back to Tacoma, WA in 1995
**Moved to Rockford, IL in 1999
