go nogo is after a period of incubation the result of long lasting practise and friendship. In 2004, Markus ‚Fred’ Scholl teamed up with Stefan Klauck and formed the project Legal Subs. They released tracks under this alter ego and produced Downbeat and Nujazz for the Austrian label Vienna Scientists. After the Viennese scene had collapsed, the two changed towards Electro. Spinning the idea to marry songwriting with dancefloor qualities, in 2010 it was time for Scholl to close the window of Legal Subs and open another chapter in his musical career. By aid of Eric Schemer, the guitarist of his first band, go nogo came to existence as a project that does convey the roots of the team. Influenced by the time of being in a group that dug the Madchester sound, go nogo has a touch of the late eighties and early nineties Britisch indiepop scene. Together with his knack for electronic music Markus ‚Fred’ Scholl creates something different.
