I was a Multi-Genre DJ from the North East of England between 2014 and 2024.
I was lucky enough to DJ across the UK, both as part of several shows and collaborations, but also out on my own.
The best times were had travelling from city to city, university to university, venue to venue. Nando's, JD Sports, Topshop and Battersea Arts Centre came calling but, ultimately, I could never say no to a gig in my hometown.
The Middlesbrough Empire was somewhere I'd fallen in love with long before I'd started my journey in music and somewhere I couldn't say no to whenever the chance came along.
The mixes on this account were uploaded at the time and then buried in the archives - they didn't feel relevant.
This year I realised that might not be the case.
The mixes are here now and they can stay for the long term. If they bring a small smile to someone's face today, I'll be very happy.
