Fresh raised and hand picked from the House groves of Orlando, Florida, USA. Markis found his DJ start amongst the times top clubs and DJs. Always interested and influenced by music he took to learning and playing the piano, guitar and flute fluently at an early age.

Markis found his way through the operation and scene of local Orlando clubs as a young sound and lighting engineer. Constantly surrounded and consumed by hard driving House, Markis couldn’t resist hitting the decks himself in 1998. With his focus and sight set on moving the dance floor he acquired residencies at Orlando’s ICON, Firestone, Zinc Bar and Tabu aka the Beecham Theatre. This giving him the opportunity to play along side well-known DJs such as, Dave Cannalte, Kimball Collins, Cliff T, Hybrid, Donald Glaude, Taylor, Gabriel & Dresden, Timo Maas, DJ Three , DJ Dan and more.
His success paved his way to Miami’s Bangin’ South Beach, where he played many top clubs and sti
