In 1910, the Sacred Heart parish had five priests in succession, with the Bishop naming Reverend Joseph D. Quinn as pastor. In April of that year, he consecrated all human beings to the sanctity of the Sacred Heart. In 1911, Father Quinn purchased land on Main Street for the parish and converted the adjacent barn into a church.
