Fuse One

During the late 70's and early 80's a new genre was established in the Jazz world. It was a fusion style that was a little more mellow than the rock & roll edge of fusion. This era is what I refer to as the pre-SmoothJazz era. Groups like the Yellowjackets, Steps Ahead, Special EFX and Wishful Thinking produced music that attracted a wider range of jazz fans.
