D*Time began in the late 1980s as Dreamtime. The project blended atmospheric and industrial influences with early electronic soundscapes and gradually developed its own identity within the Berlin School tradition of electronic music.

During the 1990s, the focus shifted toward a more rhythm-driven, dance-oriented direction. In 1998 the name D*Time was adopted after a track was selected for the Circles of Mania compilation. Released through NEON Records, this marked a period of exploration that included live performances such as Eurosonic in 2000.

Today, D*Time is rooted in ambient and Berlin School-inspired music. Most tracks are created DAWless in a single take, emphasizing immediacy and emotion over technical perfection, with a focus on music as a direct act of creation.
