Mark is a humorous thinker originally from Cardiff, Wales. Now living in the outskirts of London and collaborating with musical partners in France, Wales, Switzerland and Australia. Apart from music, Mark works on big data and energy saving devices.
He started playing the piano aged 4, but couldn't reach the keyboard very well. This led to playing by ear and without sight. First bands in the 80's included Panama and The Beer Squits, before getting his first studio in 1989 and producing tracks for Jack (band) with Anthony Reynolds, The Kisschase with Dafydd Downes and Seb (The Afternoons). Also producing Pacific Hum, an album by Roddy Fairclough in 1992.
After a peiod of distraction involving consulting tech around the world, Hopgood returned to music in 2015 when working with Fade Files where they achieved a single of the week with BBC Radio Cymru . The track, 'Byth Yn Dod Lawr' was the first of many to feature in Rhys Mwyn's radio show.
