Mark found salsa in 2007 when a work colleague took him along to a class...from never having danced before he fell in love firstly with the music and the dance, and then with his dance partner! Whilst his first love is Cuban music and in particular Son, Mark also seeks out and enjoys many other salsa and Latin genres including Romantica, Puerto Rican, Columbian, Mambo and Bachata, as well as maintaining a love of Soca, Soukouss, Semba and other 'World' music. Mark plays at numerous congresses (including Motion City and Latin Motion NYE events), various weekenders and party nights across the Midlands. In addition to organising a charity event in aid of the Red Cross Caribbean Hurricane Appeal (raising nearly 10k for charity), Mark has been a guest DJ at Shrewsbury's Candela Fever, UDA Derby with Ula, Cheltenham with Ulises Carillo Monte, Parranda Sheffield, and many more besides.
