A disciple of music with a fetish for vinyl the earliest memories are those of playing with records from the age of 5. The first record that was personally purchased was "Miquel Brown - So Many Men So Little Time" in 1983 at Ceaser's Bay Bazaar. From that point on it was all over every penny was spent on records.

One day in the early 80's, thanks to the guiding of The Roller Palace (local skating rink), the real musical education began. Religiously every Saturday was spent listening to Lenny Dee & Frankie Bones DJ till they closed there doors for good. These two musical masterminds were followed and Groove Records on Ave U became the new home. Unfortunately The Groove Crew abandoned Brooklyn and moved the shop into Manhattan.
