1987 Andre Hatchett "5 Star Classic at the Powerhouse"

"Many of the mixes on this page came from a shoebox full of tapes that my boy ShuRa Rogers got from his cousin in the winter of 1991 going into '92 while we were attending Northern Illinois University. There were at least 30 tapes in that shoebox, and I dubbed damn near every one of them. This was the first one I got a copy of. If you've never heard Andre Hatchett mix, or don't know why he's so highly regarded by fans of House music, this is the mix you need to hear. Recorded live from the Powerhouse in 1987, I actually gave Andre a copy of this back around 2005 so he would have a copy. 5 star House at its finest, and one of the best mixes I've ever had in my collection."-MC
