DJ San Marco(Marco vd Hoorn)was born in Leiden 18 May 1973
At young age he came interested with music and all equipment where you can listen.play and make music.
At the age of 10 he joined the drum & showband "Adest Musica"where he plays the little drum.
He also got lessons on the organ wich he did for 2 years.
At that time Marco hears a mix from Ben Liebrand and that was a turning point in his life.
At home he experiments with an old taperecorder and old singles to make edits and that was the start of what he became now.
In the early 90's Marco had enough equipment to make little megamixes wich were broadcast on a local radio station.
In 1993 Marco send a mix to the Ferry Maat Soul (Radio 538)for the "Bond van Doorstarters" an item in that radioshow where mixes from listereners where broadcasted.
He made 6 mixes including a yearmix in 1994,and all was edited with the pause button on his Sony cassettedeck.
